Günter is Portamagna's Operating Partner.

Prior to joining PortaMagna, Günter provided strategic guidance to companies and investors spanning diverse sectors, specializing in mergers and acquisitions as well as compliance management. Additionally, he played a key role as a co-founder of Kerberos Compliance-Managementsysteme GmbH, a prominent provider of AML-services.

Previously, Günter held several C-level management positions. Before that, he served as an Investment Manager at Apax Partners and as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Günter holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Diplom-Chemiker degree from TU München. He was a Feodor-Lynen Postdoctoral Fellow of the Humboldt Foundation at the University of California, Berkeley, and also served as an A.D. Little Research Fellow at MIT.
